Time for a bit of a life update me thinks.
First off we are getting ready for the baby to come in September. It seems like just yesterday that we found out that Avril is pregnant and now we only have about 12 weeks left. We still have a lot of things to do to get ready for his arrival but I think that we will get it all done. Well at least the most important stuff. We have decided on the name Jadon (which means thankful). We are still up in the air on a middle name though. Hopefully we will get it decided before he comes.
I am really enjoying my new job. All the people are great to work with and the company has excellent business ethics. Also the technology I get to work with is really cool. This career change has been an answer a lot of prayer. Through my experience at my old job the Lord taught me so much on being content and being patient in the situation He places me.
I have gotten involved in the college ministry at MiddleCross. I am pretty excited about getting involved with this ministry. The leadership team is really working well together and I think that we have some excellent student leaders. The name of the ministry is Store Hours. This name comes from the already established ministry that was at Central Alliance Church. MiddleCross and Central Alliance recently merged under the name MiddleCross. Now we have two campuses (central and main). Right now we are in a planning stage and getting ready for the fall semester. Click here to check out Store Hours on Facebook if you get a chance (you will need to have a Facebook login to see the page). I am sure there will be some updates as to what is going on in the future.
Finally I have decided to take our weekly small group in a new direction. I plan on focusing on discussing philosophy, ethics, and religion. I got the idea from listening to the Stand to Reason podcast. We are also going to focus on apologetics.
I think thats it for now. Hopefully I didn't miss anything. I am sure someone will let me know if I did. Hopefully my touch of writer's block will end soon and I will write more often.
Have a blessed week.

I just got done reading an article by Chuck Closon and wanted to share it.
Excerpt:
I have seen the movie Gattaca. When I saw it I was not saved yet and I thought that the concepts in the movie were a great idea. I have since come to my senses but there are many people out there that would like our society to be like the one portrayed in Gattaca.
Excerpt:
The War on 'Defective' Children
By Chuck Colson
In the 1998 film Gattaca, the hero says that he will never know what possessed his mother to put her faith in God instead of a geneticist.
That’s because, in this science-fiction film, he lives in a world where prospective parents can screen their would-be children for “defects” before they are implanted in the womb. In this world, “defects” aren’t limited to life-threatening conditions; they also include things like near-sightedness.
In the world of Gattaca, people who weren’t screened before birth form a permanent underclass called “in-valids.”
Since the film’s release, the biotech industry and their paid shills have insisted that Gattaca is fiction and that nothing like that could happen in real life. Well, something like it just did.
In May, Britain’s Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority authorized a London clinic to screen for a condition called “squint.”...
